It’s Word Wednesday!

Let’s have fun with taradiddle, a British English term that the character Cornelius Fudge uses in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: “‘We haven’t got time to listen to more taradiddles, I’m afraid, Dumbledore.'”

What does the word mean? It refers to a fib–a lie about something unimportant or minor–or to pretentious nonsense.
